About the Role
Appalachian Animal Hospital in Weaverville, NC is seeking a small animal veterinarian to join our well-established, multi-doctor practice. We provide care for canines, felines, pocket pets, equines, and ruminants, offering a diverse and rewarding caseload.
We welcome applications from experienced, surgically focused veterinarians as well as motivated recent graduates with a strong interest in surgery. Scheduling is flexible, and we are open to both full-time and part-time arrangements.
At Appalachian Animal Hospital, we pride ourselves on our family-like atmosphere where collaboration, support, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do. This opportunity is ideal for veterinarians who enjoy working in a close-knit, skilled teaM.
Our full-time schedule consists of four weekdays (Monday–Friday) with only one weekend shift per month.
- Urgent Care Hours Monday-Thursday from 12pm -10pm
- Digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house labs, holistic and alternative care
- Skilled support staff and collaborative, family-oriented team
- Proud to work with Asheville Humane Society, Yancy County Humane Society, Madison County Humane Society, Hope for Horses and many other shelters and rescues!

Located just minutes from Asheville, Weaverville, NC is a great place to work and live. With a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the practice, nature lovers will love the opportunity to be surrounded by the great outdoors, while still being close to major attractions. Easy access to great shopping, dining, a wonderful arts scene, and even Biltmore House, Weaverville offers something for everyone. Outside of mountain attractions, Weaverville is also a few hours’ drive from the coast.
