Darby Harris

Dr. Darby Harris is an associate veterinarian at Appalachian Animal Hospital. Her passion for veterinary medicine began while caring for the multitude of animals on her family’s farm in Tennessee. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has special interests in small animal internal medicine, surgery, and dentistry, as well as small ruminant medicine. Dr. Darby is dedicated to building strong, lasting relationships with her patients and clients, and she values partnering with pet owners to provide compassionate, high-quality care. She and her partner, Nick, share their home with two dogs, Penny and Peach, and a cat named Iris. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Darby enjoys hiking, camping, and competing alongside Penny in a variety of dog sports. She looks forward to caring for your pets!
